"What an incredible way to end the Atlantic 10 Indoor Track and Field Championships," commented director of track and field
Jason Ordway. "Finishing third overall is an awesome achievement considering how talented the A-10 has become. We set so many personal bests, collected 8 All-Conference awards, a new meet record, and received both the Outstanding Track Performer and the Outstanding Rookie Performer. Even more exciting is the fact that we are returning 22 of the athletes we traveled this weekend and have more coming in next year and getting healthy for the upcoming season. I could not be prouder of our team and coaches for how they competed this weekend."

DAY ONE RECAP
Â
Coming into Sunday with the overall team lead,
Kelly McCloughan got things started for the Flyers on day two, finishing 10
th overall in the triple jump, posting a fifth-best all-time mark for UD with a finals distance of 11.27m.
Â
On the track Sunday,
Lainey Studebaker picked up right where she left off on Saturday when she placed second in the 5000m overall. The grad student from Dayton won the 1 mile race Sunday in a time of 4:48.90, ranking her third in school history in that event. The two victories on the weekend proved enough for Studebaker to be named the Most Outstanding Track Performer for the meet. Freshman
Chante Clinkscale also continued the momentum she established on Saturday, as she went on to win both the 60m and 200m finals on Sunday, after qualifying first in both events on Saturday. The freshman finished the 60m event in just 7.33 seconds, a new meet and school record.
Kaira Granger also finished in the top-3 in the 60m, finishing third overall with a 7.62. Clinkscale wouldn't stop there, as she would go on to win the 200m final with a time of 24.27. These victories led to her being named the Most Outstanding Rookie Performer on the women's side.
In the throwing events Sunday,
Grace Homan finished 5th in the shot put with 13.53m and
Taylor Flight finished sixth with a 13.48m.
