St. Bonaventure In Town For #UDSB's Home Opener

Dayton to Host St. Bonaventure for a Three-Game A-10 Series this Weekend

DAYTON - The University of Dayton softball team is set to host St. Bonaventure for a three-game Atlantic 10 series this weekend. First pitch for Saturday's doubleheader will be 12 p.m. at UD Softball Stadium. The pair will play a single game Sunday, also at 12 p.m.

SCOUTING ST. BONAVENTURE
St. Bonaventure (1-11, 0-3 A-10) opened the Atlantic 10 portion of its 2022 schedule March 13 & 14 with a three-game set at George Mason. The Bonnies dropped all three games to the Patriots and are currently suffering through a nine-game losing skid. SBU's offense is led by Brooke Bobbey with a .314 average and a team-high 11 hits as one of only two players to have started in all 12 games. In the circle, Ally Haskell (0-4) holds the team's low ERA of 2.55 over 22.0 innings of work while Emily Phelan has collected a team-best 16 strikeouts.

ABOUT DAYTON
Dayton (6-12, 2-1 A-10) opened conference play at Rhode Island March 16 & 17, earning two wins in the three-game series against the Rams. The Flyers have won three of their last four games heading into the weekend. Juniors Emily Daniel and Ali Weekley boast the team's best average of .333 while Emma Schutter has tallied a team-high 17 hits and is a perfect 10-for-10 in stolen bases. Senior Kelsey Gumm (2-4) leads the Flyers pitching corps with a 2.18 ERA over 45.0 innings pitched with three complete games and has tallied 43 strikeouts on the season.

LAST TIME OUT
Dayton closed out its three-game Atlantic 10 series at Rhode Island Thursday with a 3-0 win over the Rams. Gumm worked the complete-game shutout in the circle for the Flyers to record her second-consecutive win while picking up five strikeouts. Three Flyers recorded multi-hit games including Schutter who knocked out her first career home run.
