Men's Tennis Wraps Up Regular Season With Loss At Butler

The Flyers Will Enter The A-10 Championship 14-7 On The Year

Box Score INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The University of Dayton men's tennis team fell on the road at Butler on Wednesday afternoon in Indianapolis. The Flyers won the doubles point over the Bulldogs, but dropped four singles points for a 4-1 loss in the regular season finale.
 
The Flyers fall to 14-7 on the year, while Butler improves to 11-10. Dayton started the afternoon on the right track with a win in doubles play. Senior Steven Karl and junior Matt DeMarco took down Michael Dickson and Drew Michael 6-4 in No. 2 doubles.
 
Senior Joe DeMarco and sophomore Ronit Hiryur got the second doubles point with a 6-3 win over Ryan Roegner and Zach Trimpe 6-3 in the third doubles flight.
 
Dayton could not get much going during singles play, however, with Butler taking four points from the Flyers in the top four singles flights, giving UD their seventh loss of the season.
 
The Flyers will next head to the Atlantic 10 Championship in Orlando, Fla., from April 28-May 1. The event will take place at the USTA National Campus.
