BLOOMINGTON, IND. – The University of Dayton women's track and field team rounded out the outdoor track and field regular season on Saturday, as they competed in the Indiana Invitational, hosted by Indiana University. In the final tune-up prior to the Atlantic 10 Outdoor Track & Field Championships on May 7-8, the Flyers had a very strong showing in Bloomington, setting several new personal bests and two new school records.

DAY 1

In sprints on Friday, Chante' Clinkscale started things off for the Flyers, finishing eighth in the 200m race with a time of 24.08 seconds, just eight hundredths of a second shy of her season best time of 24.00 seconds flat.
Kaira Granger began a solid weekend for herself with a 10
th place finish in the 200m, just under half a second behind Clinkscale with a 24.40 seconds final mark. Newcomer
Lauren Santiago also placed 30
th overall with a 25.81 seconds. On the distance side,
Lainey Studebaker set a new Dayton record in the 1500m race, finishing ninth overall with a time of 4:20.99.

DAY 2

Clinkscale also got things started for Dayton on day two of competition, winning the 100m race with a time of 11.47, ranking her second in the conference in the event this season behind herself, when she set the time to beat of 11.41 seconds at the Raleigh Relays earlier this year. Actually taking over second place in the 100m in conference is
Kaira Granger, who finished fifth overall with a time of 11.83 seconds. Santiago finished the 400m dash in 20
th place overall, posting a final time of 57.66 seconds. In the field events Saturday, Christierra Williams set the second UD record of the meet for the Flyers, as she placed seventh in the triple jump with a jump of 12.09m.
Carolyn Bakx also set a new personal best in the pole vault, finishing 17
th overall with a 3.57m mark.

The Flyers will take a weekend off to prepare for the Atlantic 10 Outdoor Track and Field Championships, which will be held in Richmond, Va. on May 7-8.
