CEDARVILLE, OHIO – The University of Dayton men's and women's cross country teams competed in the All-Ohio Championships on Friday, as the event was competed under the lights for the first time in it's history.

The Flyers earned a pair of second-place finishes on the night, as the Great Lakes Region 14^th ranked women's team fell just a few points behind the host Cedarville Yellow Jackets to finish runner-up. Emily Sreenan was the fastest finisher for the Flyer women, finishing the 5K race in 18:06.3, just 0.3 seconds behind her time at the Mike Baumer Classic two weeks ago, and finishing fifth overall. Abby Carter ran a college best 18:08.9, finishing in eighth olace overall. Marissa Pritchett improved on her time from the Mike Baumer Classic by over 20 seconds, rounding out Dayton's top ten finishers with a 18:09.8.
 
The men earned a quality second place finish, their second runner-up finish in as many events this season. Bryce Conley ran a college-best 8K time of 24:40.5 to be the leading finisher for the Flyers, finishing ninth overall. Andrew Schuster also ran a career-best 8K time of 24:43.7, finishing 11^th overall. Sam Duncan rounded out the top-15 finishers for the men, completing the race in 24:51.0.
 
Both the men's and women's programs will take a week off before returning to action at the Paul Short Invitational on Sept. 30 in Bethlehem, PA. The men are slated to run a 6K beginning at 11:00 a.m., while the women are set to compete in a 6K race beginning at 11:45 a.m.
