FAIRBORN, Ohio – The University of Dayton women's cross country team finished third at the Mike Baumer XC Classic.  Wright State hosted the 5K race in what was the opening meet of the 2022 season for UD.

Grad student Emily Sreenan gave the Flyers a top-10 finish, placing ninth with a time of 18:06.0.  She was followed by junior Abby Carter (12th, 18:17.7), senior Melissa Weidner (17th, 18:29.4), freshman Marissa Prichett (18th, 18:32.3) and senior Ellie Tighe (21st, 18:40.1).

Dayton is back in action on Friday, Sept. 16 at the 8K All-Ohio Championships in Cedarville.
