DAYTON - The 16th-ranked University of Dayton volleyball team will welcome Saint Louis to Frericks Center for two conference matches this weekend. On Friday, the Flyers and Billikens will square off at 7 p.m. followed by a 2 p.m. matchup on Saturday. Admission is free.

ABOUT DAYTON
No. 16 Dayton (20-2, 9-0 A-10) is currently enjoying a 15-match winning streak and has not dropped a set since its 3-1 win at Loyola Chicago Sept. 22 during the pair's conference opener. As a team, the Flyers rank third in the nation with 172 aces led by
Taylor Russell with 38 (15th NCAA).
Lexie Almodovar is the team's leading attacker with 4.44 kills/set (15th NCAA) while
Alayna Yates carries the team's best hitting percentage (.349 - 2nd A-10). At the net,
Amelia Moore collects 1.31 blocks/set (40th NCAA) and
Karissa Kaminski is the team's leading passer with 4.59 digs/set (5th A-10).
SCOUTING SAINT LOUIS
Saint Louis (11-10, 4-5 A-10) picked up two Atlantic 10 wins against Fordham at home last weekend, ending a three-game skid. SLU also has two wins over George Mason in conference action. The Billikens are led by Delaney Rice with 3.10 kills/set (7th A-10) and Kate Aupperle sets 5.93 assists/set (6th A-10). Carlie Rodgers tallies 0.44 service aces/set (t-2nd A-10) and also leads the team with 4.60 digs/set (4th A-10).
SERIES STUFF
Dayton Leads, 44-19
The Flyers and Billikens first squared off during the 1978 season and SLU is one of UD's most-played opponents. Last season Saint Louis posted back-to-back 3-1 wins over Dayton in the Billikens' Chaifetz Pavilion, breaking up a five-match winning streak in the series for the Flyers.
LAST TIME OUT
Dayton was in North Carolina last weekend for two A-10 tests at Davidson. The Flyers collected two straight-set wins over the Wildcats capped by a 22-kill performance by
Lexie Almodovar on Saturday.
RPI RANKINGS
In the NCAA's most recent Rating Percentage Index (RPI) for the 2023 season released Oct. 15, Dayton ranked 21st according to NCAA.com. Saint Louis was ranked 196th.
AVCA/TARAFLEX TOP 25 COACHES POLL
In the Oct. 15 edition of the AVCA/TARAFLEX Division I Top 25 poll, Dayton was ranked 16th, up two spots from last week. This is the Flyers' highest ranking in the national top-25 poll since being ranked 15th on Oct. 22, 2012. Over the history of the AVCA WVB DI Coaches Top 25 Poll, Dayton has been ranked a total of 63 times and the program's highest ranking was No. 10 on Sept. 3, 2012.
