AUBURN, Ala. - The University of Dayton softball team brought its offense to the field Sunday afternoon, downing Villanova 11-3 (5 inn.) in the Flyers' last game of the Auburn Tiger Invitational. Dayton tallied double-digit hits as a team for the third time this season and freshman pitcher Izzy Kemp retired a career-high 10 batters via strikeout.

Dayton closed out the weekend with an even 5-5 record while Villanova moved to 4-6 overall.

KEY STATS
11 - for the third time this season, Dayton tallied double-digit hits. Nine Flyers recorded at least one hit in the game
10 - Kemp collected a career-high 10 strikeouts in her five-inning, complete-game outing
3 - graduate student Alyssa Cacini tallied three RBI on her second home run of the season

2 - sophomore Maddie Kapsimalis was the second flyer with a multi-hit game as she also went 2-for-3 at the plate

The Flyers and Colonels will play a single game Thursday, March 2 at 6 p.m. and Dayton will play Ohio and Indiana State on both Friday and Saturday.
