Men’s Soccer Releases Full Spring Schedule

The Flyers Will Compete In The College Spring League Yet Again

DAYTON – The University of Dayton men's soccer team and head coach Dennis Currier announced the Flyers' full 2023 spring schedule.

UD will face a five game collegiate slate with one warm-up scrimmage including two home games, two away matches, and one neutral site contest.

The season kicks-off on Friday, Feb. 25 against Vaughan International, a Canadian Development Academy based out of Ontario.

From there the Flyers get into collegiate opponents with the 2023 College Spring League where they will compete in the north division against a trio of Midwest programs.

The league begins with the Michigan on Sunday, March 26 on the road in Ann Arbor at U-M Soccer Stadium. The Wolverines were 4-10-3 this past fall and faced a tough Big Ten Conference schedule.

Next, UD will head just up the road to Bowling Green on Saturday, April 1 for a 4 p.m. showdown with the Falcons. In 2022, BG was 6-5-5 on the year and 4-2-2 in MAC play.

Finally, the Flyers host Cleveland State on Saturday, April 8 at 2:30 p.m. at Baujan Field. The Vikings had a successful fall campaign at 11-4-5 overall and 5-13 in league games. They highlighted the season with a draw against No. 13 Ohio State.

Based on the north division point standings, Dayton will then play the matching opponent from the south division made up of Louisville, Marshall, Ohio State, and Xavier. The game will be played at the Columbus Crew field, Lower.com Stadium, on April 15 at a time to be determined.

UD wraps-up the spring season with a home game against Denison on Friday, April 21 at 7:30 p.m. at Baujan.

This past fall, Dayton had a 10-2-5 record overall and 3-2-3 Atlantic 10 mark. The Flyers achieved their highest ever national ranking at No. 16 and were ranked throughout the regular season.
