DAYTON - The University of Dayton women's basketball team returns home to UD Arena to host Saint Louis University on Wednesday, Feb. 8 at 11 a.m. for the annual School Day game.
SCOUTING THE FLYERS
Dayton heads into the week with a 4-17 record overall and 3-7 A-10 mark. The Flyers are coming off a road win at Loyola last week and will look to carry that momentum over into Wednesday. UD is 2-8 at home this season.
Head coach
Tamika Williams-Jeter is in her first season in charge of her hometown Flyers, coming over after a year at Wittenberg. She has assistant coaching stops at Kansas, Kentucky, Penn State, and Ohio State.
As a team this year, the Flyers are averaging 65.7 points per game and giving up 70.8 points to opponents. Dayton is shooting 40.9 percent overall, 34.2 percent from three point range, and 71.1 percent from the free throw line. UD is one of the top rebounding teams in the conference with a +4.9 margin.

Mariah Perez with 11.3 points and 9.0 rebounds per game and sophomore
Arianna Smith with 9.9 points and 8.5 boards each outing. Redshirt junior
Destiny Bohanon has a team highs at 12.8 points per game and 40.7 percent from three as well.
SCOUTING SAINT LOUIS
Saint Louis comes to Dayton with a 9-16 record on the year and 5-5 A-10 mark. The Billikens are on a three-game winning streak and are 2-9 in road games this season.
Head coach Rebecca Tillett is in her first year at Saint Louis, coming over from Longwood University previously. She brought over four transfers from the Lancers as well.
As a team, SLU is scoring 68.4 points each outing and giving up 71.1 point to opposing squads. The Billikens are shooting 39.3 percent from the field, 25.4 percent from behind the arc, and 77.1 percent from the charity stripe. SLU faces negative rebounding and turnover margins.
The Billikens are led by Kyla McMakin with 17.8 points per game with Brooke Flowers chipping in 11.4 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 4.0 blocks per game.
LAST TIME OUT
Dayton went on the road to Loyola Chicago and earned an 81-68 victory thanks to double-digit games from five different Flyers.
Destiny Bohanon had a team-high 21 points while
Mariah Perez had a 16-point, 14-rebound double-double.
Saint Louis was at St. Bonaventure this past Sunday, earning a 75-61 victory over the Bonnies. Four Billikens scored in double digits, led by Kyla McMakin with 17 points while Brooke Flowers had a double-double with 16 points and 12 boards.
SERIES HISTORY
Dayton and Saint Louis have played 48 times previously with the Flyers holding a 36-12 series advantage. The Billikens were victorious in the match-up earlier this season at Saint Louis, 80-69. In that meeting, UD jumped out to an early lead, but was unable to hold on, giving up 56 points in the second half alone.
STATISTICAL RANKINGS
As a team, Dayton ranks 28th in the nation in rebounds per game and 36th in defensive rebounding. Individually,
Mariah Perez ranks 28th in the country in offensive rebounds per game and 51st in total rebounding.

Dayton has won 143 of its last 178 regular season Atlantic 10 games (.803), a streak that dates back to a 97-46 win over Rhode Island on Jan. 7, 2012, and includes a perfect 14-0 mark in conference play during the 2012-13 season.
THREE POINTS OF EXCELLENCE
Dayton has hit at least one three-point shot in 674 consecutive games dating back to Jan. 2, 2001, the longest streak in the Atlantic 10 Conference and one of the top streaks in the nation. The Flyers made a program-record 15 three-point field goals against Buffalo in the Connecticut World Vision Classic on Nov. 25, 2011. Dayton tied the record with 15 vs. Wright State on Nov. 28, 2012.
WE'VE GOT AN AUDIENCE
On Dec. 5, 2019, the Flyers played in front of 10,554 fans at UD Arena while hosting Morehead State. The record-breaking crowd was due to the overwhelming success of UD's annual School Day game, a chance for local school-aged children to take a field trip with the Flyers.
