DAYTON - The University of Dayton softball team is set to host Massachusetts for three Atlantic 10 Conference games this weekend at UD Softball Stadium. This weekend's schedule has been adjusted due to excessive rain in the Dayton area resulting in Saturday's doubleheader starting at 2 p.m. Admission to all three games is free.
All games will be available to follow via live stats at
Statbroadcast.com and Sunday's game will also be streamed via
ESPN+.

Dayton (13-10, 0-0 A-10) had its A-10 opening weekend postponed due to inclement weather in the Dayton area last weekend and will kick off conference play against Massachusetts March 25. On Tuesday, UD picked up two five-inning wins at Northern Kentucky as the Flyers combined for 16 hots over two games. Dayton's offense is led by sophomore
Emma Schutter with a .486 average (1st A-10, 12th NCAA), 36 hits (1st A-10) and stolen bases (1st A-10, 22nd NCAA) while graduate student
Alyssa Cacini has collected 18 RBI and leads the team with four home runs. In the circle for the Flyers, freshman
Izzy Kemp (5-3) holds the team's low ERA (0.99 - 2nd A-10, 16th NCAA), opposing batting average (.150 - 1st A-10) and has collected 84 strikeouts (2nd A-10).
SCOUTING MASSACHUSETTS
Massachusetts (7-15, 0-3 A-10) dropped a 3-0 decision at UMass Lowell Wednesday after opening conference play with three losses at Saint Joseph's last week. The Minutewomen are led by Chloe Whittier, one of two players that have started all 22 games this season, with a .333 average on 23 hits to go with eight stolen bases. The UMass pitching corps is paced by Julianne Bolton (2-7) with a 3.95 ERA, six complete games and 51 strikeouts.
