DAYTON - The University of Dayton volleyball team posted two straight-set wins Saturday at Frericks Center to close out the 2023 Dayton Invitational. In UD's first match of the day, the Flyers downed the Wright State Raiders, 3-0 (27-25, 25-15, 25-20), before dispatching the Ball State Cardinals, 3-0 (25-12, 25-17, 25-20), in the nightcap.

Dayton wraps the third week of play with an 8-2 overall mark. Wright State moves to 3-6 on the season while Ball State is now 2-7 for the year.

19 & 12 - junior Lexie Almodovar recorded the match's lone double-double with 19 kills and 12 digs
18 - sophomore Karissa Kaminski led three Flyers in double-digit digs with 18
10 - for the third time this season, senior Amelia Moore posted double digit kills (10) while swinging at a blistering .625
.327 - as a team, the Flyers posted a .327 hitting percentage for the match compared to the Raiders' .117
Wright State - Megan Alders tallied a team-best nine kills while Jenny Wessling was the Raiders' leading passer with 15 digs

Dayton 3, Ball State 0
13 - sophomore Liana Sarkissian recorded a career-high 13 kills while swinging at a .611 clip
13 - Almodovar posted her third double-double of the season with 13 kills and a match-high 18 digs while serving up three aces
9.0 - led by Moore with five, the Flyers tallied 9.0 total blocks compared to the Cardinals' 3.0
Ball State - Cardinal libero Havyn Gates passed a team-high 16 digs to go with two aces and two assists
