DAYTON - The University of Dayton women's soccer team will head to the northeast this weekend for a match at A-10 foe Massachusetts Sunday. The Flyers and Minutewomen will kickoff at 1 p.m. Oct. 13 at Rudd Field in Amherst.
ABOUT DAYTON
Dayton (10-3, 4-1 A-10) is coming off a 1-0 win over Rhode Island at home on Oct. 6, the Flyers' fourth-consecutive win and seventh shutout victory of the season. Senior
Noel Blain paces the Flyers' offense with 23 points (3rd A-10, 12th NCAA) after scoring nine goals (2nd A-10, 15th NCAA) and dishing out five assists (4th A-10). Eleven different players have scored a goal and nine have recorded an assist for UD this season. Junior
Batoul Reda has worked all 1170 minutes in goal this season and she has a 1.00 GAA (5th A-10) with 37 saves and seven shutout wins (2nd A-10, 12th NCAA).
SCOUTING MASSACHUSETTS
Massachusetts (9-3-2, 4-1-1 A-10) is currently enjoying a five-match unbeaten streak following its 1-0 loss to then-22nd-ranked Saint Louis on Sept. 19. Most recently, UMass posted a 2-2 draw at Saint Joseph's on Oct. 6. The Minutewomen are led by Bella Recinos with 18 points (6th A-10) on the strength of eight goals (4th A-10, 29th NCAA), including three game winners, and two assists. In goal for UMass, Bella Mendoza has played all 1260 minutes and carries a 1.00 GAA (5th A-10) with 45 saves (8th A-10) on the season.

Dayton Leads, 22-5-1
Dayton has won three-straight meetings between the two teams, most recently a 1-0 win over Massachusetts at home last season. The lone tie in the series was a 1-1 result on Oct. 13, 2019 in Amherst and the Minutewomen's most recent win was a 2-0 victory in Dayton on Oct. 21, 2018.
