WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Atlantic 10 Conference announced their weekly men's soccer awards and recognized University of Dayton freshman Andrew Armstrong as A-10 Rookie of the Week.  

Armstrong scored a pair of goals for the second straight game in the 2-0 home victory over VCU midweek, including the game-winning goal. The New Jersey native pushed his season total to seven goals which leads all A-10 freshmen and ranks second on the team. Armstrong earned the accolade for the third time this season while making nine straight starts for Dayton.

The Flyers are coming off their fifth straight win and are ranked No. 15/12 in the national polls going into the week. Dayton finished as runners-up in the A-10 regular season standings and will host Davidson Friday in the A-10 Quarterfinals.
