OXFORD – The University of Dayton men's cross country team concluded their outdoor season debut at Miami University with the Blizzard Buster today. The Flyers competed in four events and took first place in half of them. They also earned nine PRs out of fourteen total times and set four top-10 all-time marks in the record books.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Noah Clemens took first place and set the 10th-best 5000m time in UD history with his 14:49.96 finish. He also finished 30 seconds ahead of his closest competitor.
- Calan Gizelbach finished in first place in the 3000m steeplechase with a time of 9:40.67.
- Owen Pukys was the top finisher for the Flyers in the 1500m race while earning the fifth-best time in UD history of 3:56.21.
- Sam Duncan and Pukys earned top-10 all-time marks in the 3000m race.
