DAYTON - University of Dayton track and field had some impressive performances at both the Raleigh Relays hosted by North Carolina State and the Oliver Nikoloff Invitational at the University of Cincinnati. On Thursday at Raleigh Relays Casey Bogues, Luisa Himmler and Daniela Peralta shined in the javelin. On Friday, Abby Carter ran into the record books at UD with her performance in Raleigh in the 5000m. On Saturday, Kendall Johnson and Christierra Cici Williams both won at the Oliver Nikoloff Invitational.Â

"I feel the team has performed extremely well to this point," said Associate Head Coach Aaron Gordon.  "We are definitely seeing a lot of our indoor growth transfer to the outdoor season. We've had some really consistent performances as a team to go along with some amazing performances. We are looking forward to seeing our team compete at a high level at Tennessee next weekend."Â
RALEIGH RELAY HIGHLIGHTS
- Casey Bogues finished third (48.44m) and was the second highest finishing collegian. It was the best throw in the Atlantic 10 this season.
- Luisa Himmler (39.24m) and Daniela Peralta (38.67m) finished in the top half of a very competitive field.Â
- Grace Homan threw a season best 13.82m in the shot put and finished 16th in a field of over 50.Â
- Abby Carter ran the second fastest time in school history in the 5000m with a personal best 16:15.45. Out of the 195 runners who crossed the finish line, Carter finished 31st.Â

OLIVER NIKOLOFF INVITATIONAL HIGHLIGHTS
- Jillian Yates and Maggie Hofner on Friday threw personal best in the hammer throw.
- Kendall Johnson shattered the outdoor long jump record at UD (6.32m). On Saturday she won the long jump with the best jump in the conference this season.Â
- Cici Williams won the triple jump (11.70m) and recorded the fourth longest jump at UD. Jayla Pruitt (11.45m) finished second and Jailee Clemmons jumped a personal best (11.13m) and finished fourth.
- Lauren Santiago finished second in 400m hurdles with the fourth fastest time in UD history (1:03.44).
- Zoe Chappelle was the highest finishing collegian in the 5000m and finished second (18:16.39).
