ST. LOUIS - The University of Dayton softball team closed out the 2024 regular season by claiming a 2-1 Atlantic 10 series win at Saint Louis on Sunday. Saturday's second game, that had been suspended after five innings due to weather, was resumed Sunday with SLU outlasting UD for the 1-0 10-inning win. In the season finale, the Flyers and Billikens again went 10 innings with Dayton holding on for a 4-2 win.
Dayton is now 30-19 on the season and finishes its Atlantic 10 schedule in first place with a 19-7 mark. This is the Flyers' fifth overall and second-consecutive season with at least 30 wins. Saint Louis moves to 29-20 overall and 16-10 in league games.

UP NEXT
After claiming the 2024 Atlantic 10 regular season title on Saturday, Dayton earned the top seed for the upcoming 2024 A-10 Championship. The tournament starts Wednesday with a match-up between No. 4 Fordham and No. 5 Massachusetts with the winner squaring off against No. 1 Dayton Thursday at 12 p.m. The six-team championship is being hosted by Fordham at the Rams' Bahoshy Field in Bronx, N.Y. May 8-11.
