DAYTON – The Basketball Tournament (TBT) – the $1 million, winner-take-all summer basketball event broadcast live on FOX Sports – will see the return of Red Scare, a Dayton alumni team, for the sixth time in 2024. Red Scare will host the Dayton Regional, with games played in UD Arena from July 20-24.

Red Scare, the two seed in the Dayton Region, is organized by former Flyers Joey Gruden and Jeremiah Bonsu. Gruden will once again serve as the team's head coach. Red Scare's current roster includes:

●    Josh Cunningham (2016-19)
●    Darrell Davis (2014-18)
●    Scoochie Smith (2013-17)
●    Jordan Sibert (2013-15)
●    Grant Basile (Wright State, Virginia Tech)
●    Wes Clark (Missouri, Buffalo)
●    Cleveland Melvin (DePaul)
●    Marcos Santos-Silva (Texas Tech, VCU)

More players will be added to the Red Scare roster in the following weeks announced via TBT and team social media platforms.

Red Scare will play DaGuys STL on Saturday, July 20, at 5:00 p.m. ET on FS1. The winner of that game will face the winner of Carmen's Crew (Ohio State alumni) and Purple Hearts on Monday, July 22 at 8 p.m. ET on FS2.

The Dayton Regional championship game is Wednesday, July 24 at 7 p.m. ET on FS2.

The winner of the Dayton Regional will play the winner of the Cincinnati Regional in the quarterfinals on July 29 or 30 (official game date, time, and location to be determined). The semifinals and $1 million winner-take-all championship game will be Aug. 2 and Aug. 4 in Philadelphia, Pa. at the Daskalakis Athletic Center.
