DAYTON – The University of Dayton men's soccer program and head coach Dennis Currier have announced the 2024 fall schedule.

The Flyers are coming off the 2023 Atlantic 10 Tournament Championship and a berth in the NCAA College Cup tournament.

"Our main goal in scheduling is to allow ourselves an opportunity to earn an at-large bid to the NCAA tournament from an RPI standpoint," said Coach Currier. "Our non-conference schedule includes four teams that competed in the NCAA Tournament last year-Indiana, SIUE, West Virginia and Western Michigan. We are excited that our fans will get to see us host WMU at Baujan Field as well as NCAA Tournament finalist, West Virginia."

. Dayton will look to carry that momentum over into this season in which the Flyers have two exhibition matches, nine home games, and seven games away from home.

UD opens up the preseason on Aug. 10 at IU-Indianapolis before hosting Bowling Green on Aug. 16 in the final exhibition contest.

The regular season kicks off on Aug. 22 at Baujan Field against Jacksonville before heading to Columbus for the Wolstein Classic where the Flyers take on SIU-Edwardsville and UNLV Labor Day weekend.

Dayton then travels to Indiana on Sept. 9 to face the Hoosiers who finished the 2023 season ranked No. 7 and made it to the NCAA College Cup quarterfinals.

A home contest against Wabash on Sept. 14 precedes another showdown at Baujan Field with No. 12 Western Michigan, a team that the Flyers battled in a 5-4 thriller last season, coming up just short on the road.

A-10 play begins on Sept. 21 at Loyola Chicago before Dayton hosts VCU (Sept. 28) and George Washington (Oct. 5).

UD heads back out on the road to take on Massachusetts on Oct. 9 and returns home to host Fordham on Oct. 12.

The Flyers play their final non-conference game of the season on Oct. 15 at Baujan against a West Virginia squad that finished last year ranked No. 3 and advanced to the College Cup Final Four before falling to eventually National Champion Clemson.

Dayton finishes out the regular season at St. Bonaventure (Oct. 19), at Davidson (Oct. 26), and home against Saint Louis (Nov. 2) for Senior Day.

The 2024 Atlantic 10 Championships will begin on Nov.8-9 on campus sites with the semifinals taking place on No. 13 and the title game on Nov. 16.
