DAYTON - The University of Dayton women's soccer team will host Western Kentucky Thursday night. Match time is set for 7 p.m. at Baujan Field and admission is free.

ABOUT DAYTON
Dayton (3-2) is returning home after a 6-1 loss at Purdue on Sunday. Thursday's match will be the fourth home game of the season for the Flyers and UD is 2-1 in contests played at Baujan Field this year. Senior forward Noel Blain is pacing the Dayton offense with four goals (t-3rd A-10), 10 points (3rd A-10) and 13 shots (t-6th A-10) while freshman Liv Grenda has also netted four goals and graduate student Diana Benigno has dished out four assists (t-1st A-10). In goal, junior Batoul Reda has played all 450 minutes this season, collecting 16 saves with a 2.00 GAA.

SCOUTING WKU
Western Kentucky (2-2) is coming off an 8-0 loss at No. 6 Arkansas on Sunday after winning back-to-back matches against Union and Evansville. The Hilltoppers are led by Kayla Meyer who has fired off 14 hots, eight of which came on goal, and netted three goals for a team-high six points. Maddie Davis has been in goal all four games for WKU this season, recording 19 saves to 11 goals against.

Dayton was in West Lafayette, Ind., on Sunday for a midday matchup against Purdue. The Boilermakers claimed the 6-1 win over the Flyers at Folk Field. Senior Noel Blain scored her fourth goal of the season in the 22' of the contest. Blain (3) and freshman Avery May (3) accounted for six of the team's eight total shots on the afternoon.

• Eric Golz is in his eighth season as head coach of the Flyers in 2024. His record at Dayton is 75-47-16 (.601) and his career win-loss mark sits at 95-63-21 (.589) over a total of 10 seasons. Golz has tallied the program's second-most wins, behind Mike Tucker who had 313 wins over 22 seasons (1995-2016) at Dayton.
• Freshman Liv Grenda claimed the Atlantic 10's first Rookie of the Week honor on Aug. 19 after scoring her first collegiate goal in Dayton's 2-1 win at Loyola Maryland on opening day.
