DAYTON - The University of Dayton women's basketball team won 67-64 against the University of Massachusetts in a nail-biter Wednesday Night at UD Arena.

The Flyers (9-6, 3-1 A-10) extend their winning streak to three games while the Minutewomen (7-8, 2-2 A-10) fall below .500.

GAME BREAKDOWN
1st Quarter: Dayton 14, UMass 19
- Senior Ivy Wolf started the scoring for the Flyers with a deep three from the top of the key thanks to an assist from graduate student Nicole Stephens.
- Senior Arianna Smith adds two free-throw points for the Flyers after being fouled in the paint.
- After several back-and-forth possessions on both sides, Stephens gets a bucket of her own.
- Wolf gets fouled on her fast break to the rim, adding two more points in free throws for the Flyers.
- Wolf reaches double-digits with two free throws.

2nd Quarter: Dayton 37, UMass 35
- Sophomore Ajok Madol starts things off for the Flyers in the second quarter, with a reversed layup at 9:00.
- Wolf goes back-to-back to add to the Flyers deficit with a layup and a three-point goal from the corner making the score 21-27.
- On the next possession, Smith helps out the Flyers with a drive to the basket adding two points at 5:26.
- Smith gets fouled on her way up to the rim, knocking down both free throws.
- Stephens nailed a three-pointer to make it a one-possession game, from an assist by Smith.
- Flyers are on a scoring run with a turnover leading to a fast break from Wolf, with just a couple of minutes remaining.
- Stephens with a clutch assist to graduate student Rikki Harris where she knocked down a three-pointer to take back the lead, 34-33.
- The Flyers extended their lead over UMass with a three-pointer drained by Wolf with 58 seconds remaining.

3rd Quarter: Dayton 47, UMass 47
- Wolf starts out the Flyers with a pull-up three-pointer to begin the third quarter.Â
- A hot start to the quarter with a layup from Smith, assisted by junior Nayo Lear with a stellar pass, 42-39.
- Stephens took advantage of UMass' miscommunication on defense, adding two points for the Flyers at 5:22.
- Despite UMass' eight-point run, Stephens was able to put up a jumper to get back in the game, 46-47.

4th Quarter: Dayton 67, UMass 64
- Smith starts things for the Flyers in the fourth quarter with a layup after they struggled offensively in the third quarter.
- On the next possession, senior Shannon Wheeler finished at the rim through contact and drew the foul to extend Dayton's lead to 52-47.
- Ajok Madol found the rebound to put back up two points for the Flyers with 6:45 remaining
- Arianna Smith follows Madol's bucket with one of her own. Smith made the layup and earned a trip to the free-throw line 57-49
- Back-to-back points for Smith widening the gap with 5:11 remainingÂ
- Wolf secured the ball after a UMass turnover, driving through traffic to add two points to the scoreboard, 61-55Â
