DAYTON – The University of Dayton men's tennis team is set for the Atlantic 10 Masters tournament, hosted by Davidson, on Oct. 3-5.
Kyle McNally and Mikkel Zinder will play in singles competition. Zinder will team up with Dylan Jaen for doubles play.
The Flyers trio will compete to win an automatic invitation to ITA Masters in Rome, Ga. on Nov. 6-9. Last season, McNally won the singles championship, defeating players from Davidson, Saint Joseph's, Saint Louis and VCU.
In doubles play, Jaen and Zinder drew Monil Lotlikar and Ekansh Kumar, a pair of seniors from George Mason, at 9 a.m. on Friday morning.
Zinder will take on Nicolo Consonni, a sophomore from VCU, at 10 a.m. on Friday. McNally's first match will take place at 11 a.m. against Davidson senior Sebastian Carpio Moran.
Last weekend, UD played in the James O'Connell Memorial Tournament, highlighted by wins from Alfons Ridstrom and Rishi Dore in the Flight B and Flight C singles.
