#UDVB Announces 2026 Signing Class

The Flyers Bring On Four

DAYTON – The University of Dayton volleyball team secured four commitments for its 2026 signing class, head coach Tim Horsmon announced.

Sienna Fry, Natalie Harrington, Ava Liening and Sidney Sprada will join the Flyers.

"We're excited to welcome our 2026 class – three from Ohio and one from nearby Kentucky," said Horsmon. "Bringing in elite local talent is a priority for us, and this group embodies the toughness, integrity and team-first mentality that defines Flyer Volleyball. We think our fans will love watching this group compete in Frericks."

SIENNA FRY – OPPOSITE – OTTAWA, OHIO
Fry joins the Flyers from Ottawa, Ohio, as a four-year varsity opposite hitter for Ottawa-Glandorf. In her career as a Titan, she tallied 1228 kills, 200 blocks, 136 aces and 420 digs. Fry also helped her team become league and regional champions last season.  She is also a three-time All-Conference selection, earning Conference and District Player of the Year in 2024 and 2025.

"Sienna has the potential to be a physical attacker and blocker as a left-handed opposite," said Horsmon. "She's a good jumper, and we think she can be a great point scorer with her high contact point and arm. She's a great teammate and a selfless player."

NATALIE HARRINGTON – SETTER – MILLERSPORT, OHIO
Harrington comes to the Flyers from Millersport, Ohio after a four-year varsity career with Newark Catholic. She is a four-time conference champion setter, winning state championships this season. Harrington is a three-time All-Conference first team selection and two-time conference Player of the Year. She also reached 1000 assists in her senior season.

"Natalie is a pure setter – she makes it look easy. She sets with great tempo and location and makes her hitters better," said Horsmon. "Natalie just won a state championship, understands how to win, and shows a maturity that I think will translate immediately to our program."

AVA LIENING – MIDDLE BLOCKER – LOUISVILLE, KY.
Liening comes to Dayton from Louisville, Ky., by way of Ballard High School. She spent three years on varsity for the Bruins, winning Districts in 2024. The middle blocker finished her high school career with 733 kills and 339 total blocks with a .395 attack percentage. Liening was named to the All-Region Tournament team, second team All-State and was in the top 20 for Louisville players to watch in the postseason.

"Ava brings more physicality back to our middle position. She's strong, moves well, and has a good arm," said Horsmon. "Ava will continue to allow us to play with the more physical teams in the country and be a force in the middle. Ava works hard, is a great teammate, and has a growth mindset."

SIDNEY SPRADA – OUTSIDE HITTER / DEFENSIVE SPECIALIST – BROOKVILLE, OHIO
Sprada joins UD from nearby Brookville, Ohio. The Brookville Blue Devil was a four-year varsity outside hitter and defensive specialist. She set school records with 489 kills in a season, 36 kills in a match, 106 aces in a season and 302 aces in a career. In her career, Sprada recorded 1663 kills, 946 digs and 302 aces. She was named first team All-Ohio in 2024 and 2025, first team All-Conference four times, first team All-District four times and Conference Player of the Year in 2024 and 2025.

"Sidney is a really good all-around volleyball player. She passes, defends, and is a point-scoring outside hitter," said Horsmon. "Sidney competes at a high level consistently and is committed to her craft. We love her athleticism and think she will impact our program immediately."
