DAYTON - The University of Dayton football team will return to action this Saturday, Nov. 15 at 12 p.m. at Welcome Stadium against Drake University. It will be Senior Day for the Flyers as they host the Pioneer Football League leaders.
Dayton is coming off the bye week last Saturday and sits at 6-3 overall this season with a 4-2 PFL mark. The Flyers are currently tied for third in the league standings, but could move up the board with a win over the first-place Bulldogs. UD is 3-1 at home this season.Â
As a team, the Flyers are scoring 28.7 points per game and holding opponents to just 18.1 points per contest. Dayton is averaging 341.9 yards of total offense with 211.4 yards coming through the air and 130.4 yards on the ground.Â
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
Drake comes to Dayton with a 6-3 mark on the season, but a 5-1 PFL record, putting the Bulldogs in sole possession of first place in the conference. Drake is 3-2 in true road contests this season and has won three in a row away from home.Â
SERIES HISTORY
Dayton and Drake are meeting for the 39th time in program history with the Flyers holding a 29-9 series advantage. UD has won three in a row including the last showdown back in 2022 at Welcome Stadium, 27-14.Â

Dayton will finish up the regular season next Saturday, Nov. 22 at Davidson College at 1 p.m.Â
LAST OUTING
• Dayton went out west to take on San Diego on Nov. 1, but were unable to keep the road streak alive with a 31-13 loss to the Toreros. The Flyers got off to a slow start and despite scoring late, were unable to finish the rally.
• Drake also found itself on the losing end of a 20-13 decision at home to St. Thomas last Saturday. The Bulldogs managed to tie the game up going into the half, but only scored three points the rest of the way.Â

• The Flyers currently lead the PFL in numerous categories across all three phases of the game including fourth-down conversion rate, blocked kicks, blocked punts, blocked punts allowed, defensive touchdowns, fewest penalties, fumbles lost, passes intercepted, turnover margin, and turnovers gained.Â
• Dayton also ranks top five nationally in fourth-down conversion rate, blocked punts alllowed, passes had intercepted, turnover margin, turnovers gained, and turnovers lost.
