Nayo Lear have been named the
Ohio's 529 Plan CollegeAdvantage Student-Athletes of the Week. These awards are for contests held Nov. 17-23.
Williams picked off two passes in the first quarter on Saturday in the Davidson win. His first was returned 32 yards to open the scoring, and his second set up Dayton's second touchdown. Williams returned his two interceptions a total of 47 yards. His six picks on the year are the most at Dayton since Brandon Easterling had six in 2019. Williams was also named PFL Defensive Player of the Week.
Lear recorded her fifth-straight double-digit game with 19 points, seven rebounds, four assists, and a career-high seven steals, tying the second-most steals in a game in program history. The Illinois native shot 41.2 percent from the field and played 29:23 in the win over Canisius Friday.
