DAYTON – The University of Dayton football program celebrated the 2025 season with the annual season awards banquet held this past weekend.
The Flyers wrapped up the 2025 campaign last month, finishing with a 7-4 record overall and 5-3 Pioneer Football League mark. UD improved its win total from the previous season for the second straight year.
Dayton highlighted the campaign with a five-game winning streak from Sept. 6-Oct. 11 and capped things off with a 35-19 upset of No. 16/19 Presbyterian that had the Flyers competing for a PFL title down to the final game.
Head coach
Trevor Andrews, the coaching staff, and supporters of the program celebrated the accomplishments of this year's team and student-athletes at the banquet.
The following awards were handed out:
- Scout Team Defense - Griffin Suren
- ROTC Cannonball Newcomer - Bryce Schondelmyer
- Most Improved Offense/Defense/Special Teams
- The Sheriff Beno Keiter Four-Year Award - Elliot Braun
- John MacBeth Student-Athlete - Lucas Shallal
