ST. LOUIS – The Pioneer Football League has announced that 733 of its student-athletes have been named to the 2024 PFL Academic Honor Roll.  The University of Dayton contributed 79 of those student-athletes to the total, which was the league's third-consecutive honor roll of more than 700 players.

Dayton's 79 were the fourth-most in the PFL this year.  Davidson tied UD's league record of 85, originally set in 2019.  The 1,672 Flyers honored over the years are over 300 more than the next league team.

This is also the 13th time that the Flyers have had 70 or more honorees.  No other school has had 70 more than five times.

Pioneer Football League athletic directors and coaches established the honor roll in 2001 as a way to recognize the league's outstanding student-athletes. To date, the league has recognized more than 10,000 student-athletes on the PFL Academic Honor Roll.

The PFL Academic Honor Roll consists of student-athletes who participated in football at member institutions during the semester of competition and posted a 3.0 grade-point average or higher during the semester while enrolled full-time in accordance with NCAA rules.
