DAYTON - The University of Dayton softball team is on its way to western New York ahead of its doubleheader at St. Bonaventure Wednesday. The Flyers and Bonnies will kick off the two-game A-10 series at 1 p.m. April 9 at SBU's Joyce Field. Admission is free and both games will be available to follow via live stats and video streaming.

ABOUT DAYTON
Dayton (15-13, 5-4 A-10) had its three-game A-10 home series against Massachusetts cancelled over the weekend due to excessive rain and flooding conditions in the Dayton area. The Flyers' offense is led by seniors Emma Schutter (.409) with 38 hits, 29 runs, 15 stolen bases and 14 walks and Maddie Kapsimalis (.337) with 32 hits, 22 RBI and 18 runs. In the circle, junior Izzy Kemp (7-4) carries the team's low ERA of 2.74 with 91 strikeouts over 79.1 innings pitched.

SCOUTING ST. BONAVENTURE
St. Bonaventure (4-16, 0-12 A-10) hosted Loyola Chicago last weekend, dropping three to the Ramblers in conference action. Kymora Wang (.354) leads three Bonnies hitting above .300 and has tallied 29 hits, 21 RBI and 13 walks while Karena Recrosio (.352) has a team-high 31 hits, 22 runs and eight stolen bases. Mackenzie Frani (3-7) is SBU's No. 1 with a 7.04 ERA with 42 Ks in 65.2 innings of work.

SERIES STUFF
Dayton leads, 47-17
Dayton has won six straight in the series against St. Bonanventure, including two at home last season by margins of 6-0 and 9-1(6).

LAST TIME OUT
Dayton was in the nation's capital March 29-30, taking on George Washington in a three-game conference series. The Revolutionaries swept the series, including winning the series finale Sunday, 5-4, in come-from-behind fashion.

In the NCAA's most recent Rating Percentage Index (RPI) through games on April 7, Dayton ranked 163rd according to NCAA.com. St. Bonaventure came in at 301.
