EAST LANSING, Mich. – The University of Dayton women's soccer team's defense highlighted an all-around strong performance at Michigan State on Sunday night, posting a 0-0 draw with the No. 12-ranked Spartans at DeMartin Stadium.

Batoul Reda moves into a tie with Stephanie Weisenfeld (1999-2002) for most shutouts in a career with 29. Reda, a Dearborn, Mich. native, made saves on both shots on goal in the contest.

Lauren Fields helped hold the Spartans to just two shots on goal and 11 total attempts.

Dayton finished the match with a flurry of offense, firing off five shots in the final five minutes of play. The best chance was off the left foot of
Olivia Baca, which Michigan State keeper Kennedy Zorn made a leaping stab to poke the shot over the crossbar.

Sunday night's draw marked the second consecutive tie between the Flyers and Spartans, as they finished 2-2 in the 2023 campaign in East Lansing.
