DAYTON — For the third consecutive year, the University of Dayton men's and women's cross country teams have been named All-Academic Teams by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). Both programs were honored for their success in the classroom and ranked among the Top 25 teams in the nation for highest team GPAs in 2025.
The women recorded a team GPA of 3.77, while the men posted a 3.64. To qualify for All-Academic distinction, teams must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period. This recognition places the Flyers among the nation's top academic-performing programs.
The women have earned All-Academic honors in 11 of the last 12 years, while the men have been recognized eight times in the past nine years. In November, Owen Pukys was named Atlantic 10 All-Academic for his work in the classroom and on the course.
