Men's Soccer Hosts VCU Saturday

The Flyers and Rams Kickoff at 7 p.m. at Baujan

DAYTON- The University of Dayton men's soccer team continues A-10 play and is set to host VCU, Oct.3 with kickoff at 7 p.m at Baujan Field. 
 
ABOUT DAYTON
Dayton (6-1-3) has continued its winning streak after shutting out Bluffton 6-0 the previous Tuesday. This win has extended their streak from eight to nine, with outstanding performances from senior Miles Boham, who made his 67th career start; which has been every game he has been available for since becoming a Flyer, and sophomore Santino Inkpen, recording his sixth win of the season. 
 
SCOUTING VCU
VCU (0-7-2) is coming off a 1-2 loss vs. Fordham, marking their fifth consecutive loss. The Rams are led by junior Mohammed Ibrahim, having one goal and three points, along with five other men, all having scored one goal. 
 
SERIES STUFF
(7-5-2)
The Flyers earned a 4-2 win over VCU last season. The team is hoping to replicate that this year and continue to build success. 
 
LAST TIME OUT
Dayton recorded a shutout win against Bluffton earlier this week, increasing their win streak to nine, while also highlighting a win for Senior Night, honoring the team's four seniors: Miles Bonham, Braden Seel, Cooper Lijewski, and Felix Buabeng.

• Dennis Currier is in his 22nd season as head coach of the Flyers in 2026. His record at Dayton is 207-126-71 (.599) and his career win-loss mark sits at 395-175-83 (.668) over a total of 34 seasons. Currier has tallied the program's most wins (207) and most winning seasons (14). 
• Three Flyers were named to the 2026 Atlantic 10 Preseason All-Conference Team: Miles Bonham, Mikkel Madsen and Braden Seel. Dayton was picked to finish second in the Atlantic 10 Preseason Poll behind 2025 champion Saint Louis. 
• Dayton has won the Atlantic 10 Regular Season title four times (1998, 2000, 2009, 2020). The Flyers have captured the A-10 Championship title six times (1997, 1998, 2008, 2015, 2023, 2024) resulting in six appearances in the NCAA Tournament. Over 24 appearances in the A-10 Tournament, UD has tallied a 25-11-6 record in the conference postseason championship, reaching the title match 10 times (including 2025). 
• The Flyers finished the 2025 season with an 8-2-8 overall record and a 4-1-3 conference mark, finishing in third place in regular-season Atlantic 10 play. Dayton advanced to the program's third-consecutive appearance in the A10 Tournament finals match, falling to Saint Louis 1-1 (5-4 PKs). 
 
UP NEXT 
The Flyers will conclude their three-game homestead before returning to the road, playing Duquesne at Rooney Field in Pittsburgh, PA. The Flyers and Dukes are scheduled to kickoff at 7 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 10.
