WASHINGTON, D.C. – Kyle McNally and Rishi Dore of the University of Dayton men's tennis team have been named Atlantic 10 Player and Rookie of the Week.
Both players found success during the Flyers' 2-1 week against Louisville, IU Indy and Eastern Kentucky.
This is McNally's second consecutive A-10 Player of the Week distinction. The junior went 5-0 on the week, winning three singles matches and two doubles, all from the No. 1 spot.
In singles, the junior won 6-2, 4-6, 7-5 against Louisville, 6-2, 6-2 against IU Indy and 6-1, 6-1 against Eastern Kentucky.
Against Louisville, he and teammate Sturle Skigelstrand, ranked No. 24, defeated a pair ranked 86th in the country, 7-5. He and Skigelstrand also won 6-1 against the Colonels.
This is Dore's first Atlantic 10 honor. The freshman went 1-1 in singles, falling 2-6, 0-6 at Louisville and winning 6-0, 6-1 against Eastern Kentucky. He and Eric Suk won 7-5 in doubles in the team's win over Eastern Kentucky.
