Deirdre Flaherty have been named the
Ohio's 529 Plan CollegeAdvantage Student-Athletes of the Week. These awards are for contests held Feb. 2-8.
McNally was unbeaten this week, going 5-0 in the Flyers' 2-1 week. At the No. 1 spot in singles, the junior won against Louisville, IU Indy and Eastern Kentucky. As the 24th-ranked doubles pair, he and teammate
Sturle Skigelstrand won 7-5 against an 86th-ranked duo from Louisville and 6-1 against a pair from Eastern Kentucky. McNally picked up his second-consecutive A-10 Player of the Week award on Feb. 10.
Flaherty led the Flyers with a .583 average over a 3-1 weekend at Presbyterian's Blue Hose Invitational, going 7-for-12 at the plate with six RBI and three walks. Over three games at catcher, she recorded 19 putouts and one assist in 20 chances. Flaherty opened the 2026 season with back-to-back multi-hit games, a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two doubles and a walk in Dayton's 7-3 win over Le Moyne and followed that with a 3-for-4 outing in UD's 3-2 (9 inn.) game against Western Michigan. In Sunday's finale against Morehead State, a 9-3 win for the Flyers, she was 1-for-2 with two RBI, one walk and one sacrifice hit.
