DAYTON - The University of Dayton softball team is traveling to North Carolina this weekend to take part in the Phoenix Invitational hosted by Elon Feb. 13-15. UD will play a total of five games against Manhattan, Mount St. Mary's and host Elon at the Phoenixes's Hunt Softball Park.

ABOUT DAYTON
Dayton (3-1) opened the 2026 season last weekend at Presbyterian's Blue Hose Invitational, picking up wins over Le Moyne, Morehead State and host Presby. Senior pitcher Izzy Kemp was named the Atlantic 10's Pitcher of the Week Tuesday after working 11.1 innings over three appearances, recording one win, one combined shutout, one save and 23 strikeouts. Junior Deirdre Flahrty paced the Flyers' offense, posting a .583 average on the strength of seven hits, tallying six RBI and drawing three walks over four games.

UP NEXT
After taking a week off, the Flyers will return to action Feb. 27-March 1 at Kentucky's John Cropp Classic. Dayton will play a total of five games at the event against Michigan State, Murray State and host Kentucky at UK's John Cropp Stadium in Lexington.
