DAYTON - The University of Dayton softball team is heading to Lexington this weekend for the three-day John Cropp Classic hosted by Kentucky Feb. 27-March. UD is scheduled to play a total of five games against Michigan State, Murray State and host Kentucky at UK's
John Cropp Stadium.

Dayton (7-1) enters the weekend enjoying a six-game winning streak after winning all four of its games at Elon's Phoenix Invitational Feb. 13-14. The Flyers' offense is led by junior
Deirdre Flaherty with a .522 average on the strength of 12 hits, including three doubles and one home run, to go with 14 RBI. As a team, UD is 23-for-24 in stolen bases paced by junior
Kirnan Bailey who is a perfect 11-for-11 on the base paths. In the circle, senior
Izzy Kemp (3-0) holds the team's low ERA of 0.94 and has tallied 45 strikeouts over 22.1 innings pitched.
UP NEXT
This weekend closes out the pre-conference portion of the 2026 schedule and Dayton will kick off Atlantic 10 action March 7-8 in the friendly confines of UD Softball Stadium. The Flyers will welcome the Ramblers of Loyola Chicago to Dayton for a three-game series beginning with Saturday's doubleheader at 12 p.m. Admission is free.
