DAYTON – The University of Dayton men's tennis team will travel to Louisville for a match against the Cardinals on Wednesday.
First serve is scheduled for 3 p.m. at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center.
Despite losing 4-1, UD had an impressive showing against Ole Miss Sunday night. In doubles, Kyle McNally and Sturle Skigelstrand won against a pair ranked 11th in the country. McNally also earned Dayton's only point with a 6-0, 6-4 singles win.
This will be the 11th all-time meeting between the Flyers and the Cardinals. Dayton has not won against Louisville. In last year's meeting, the Cardinals won 4-0.
Louisville is 6-3 this season, falling to Notre Dame and Kentucky in their two most recent outings. The Cardinals have two ranked doubles teams in Andre' Steinbach and Matei Onofrei at No. 21, and Ahouda and El Amine at No. 59. Both Ahouda and El Amine are also ranked in singles at 68 and 122, respectively.
Dayton has a full weekend on tap, hosting IU Indy on Friday at 4 p.m. and Eastern Kentucky on Sunday at 2 p.m.
