INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The University of Dayton men's cross country team started its indoor season on the track at the Fairgrounds inside the Indiana Farm Bureau Fall Creek Pavilion in Indianapolis. Four Flyers competed across three events: the mile, 3k, and the 5k.
Sophomore Gerrit Dam set the only personal record of the day, running 4:25.66, taking ten seconds off of his previous indoor mile time. Dam was the only male Flyer to compete on Friday when he ran his first collegiate 3k. Saturday's 5k race saw Junior James Mroczka finish atop the field, while Sophomore Jacob Herzog finished third and Junior Colin Sams close behind in fifth place in his first collegiate indoor race.
