DAYTON - The University of Dayton softball team will host George Washington for a three-game Atlantic 10 series this weekend. The Flyers and Revolutionaries will play two on Saturday and a single game Sunday, both beginning at 12 p.m. All Dayton home games are played at UD Softball Stadium and admission is free.

Dayton (10-9, 2-4 A-10) had its midweek game at Ohio cancelled Wednesday due to weather and field conditions. The Flyers took a 2-1 series win against the Rams of Fordham last weekend in the Bronx. The Flyers' offense is led by junior Deirdre Flaherty with a .340 average and 16 RBI while junior Kirnan Bailey (.311) has 19 hits, 16 stolen bases and 15 runs scored - 0.84 stolen bases/game ranks fourth nationally. In the circle, junior Izzy Kemp (5-2) carries the team's low ERA of 1.34 (17th NCAA) with 105 strikeouts (11th NCAA) over 57.2 innings of work. Her 12.7 strikeouts per seven innings ranks second nationally.

UP NEXT
Dayton will host a single game against Northern Kentucky on Tuesday, March 24 ahead of a nine-game road swing. First pitch between the Flyers and Norse is set for 3 p.m. at UD Softball Stadium and admission is free.
