Three-Game Home Set Against St. Bonaventure Up Next For #UDSB

Flyers and Bonnies to Get Started Saturday at 12 p.m.

DAYTON - The University of Dayton softball team returns to Atlantic 10 Conference action this weekend with a three-game home series against St. Bonaventure. The Flyers and Bonnies wil play two on Saturday and one on Sunday, starting at 12 p.m. both days, at UD Softball Stadium and admission is free.

ABOUT DAYTON
Dayton (18-15, 8-7) enters this weekend's games in a tie for third place in Atlantic 10 standings after taking four-consecutive conference series. Junior Deirdre Flaherty carries the team's best average of .387 on 36 hits, 10 of which have been for extra bases, and she has collected a team-high 28 RBI. Junior Kirnan Bailey (.358) leads the team with 39 hits, 29 runs scored and 31 stolen bases (1st NCAA) and her 0.94 stolen bases per game ranks second in all of Division I. Senior Izzy Kemp (12-3) leads the Flyer pitching corps with a 1.53 ERA (16 NCAA) and 190 strikeouts (3rd NCAA) over 105.1 innings pitched and her 12.6 strikeouts per seven innings ranks second in all of Division I.

SCOUTING ST. BONAVENTURE
St. Bonaventure (5-33, 4-8 A-10) dropped two games at Youngstown State Wednesday in a non-conference doubleheader in Youngstown, Ohio and the Bonnies are currently suffering through a five-game losing streak. SBU's offense is led by Sydney DeGram with a .343 average and 34 hits while Colsten Beers (.274) has 32 hits to go with a team-high 14 runs scored and five stolen bases. In the circle, Kendall Stull (4-7) carries the team's low ERA of 5.01 and Nolah Moyer has tallied the a team-best 37 strikeouts.

LAST TIME OUT
Dayton split its two midweek games, dispatching IU Indy, 9-0 (5), at home on Tuesday before falling at Ohio State, 12-4 (5), on Wednesday. 

RPI RANKINGS
In the NCAA's most recent Rating Percentage Index (RPI) through games on April 8, Dayton ranked 187 according to NCAA.com. St. Bonaventure was ranked 287.

UP NEXT
Dayton will head to the Gateway City next weekend to take on the Saint Louis Billikens. UD and SLU will play a three-game conference series April 18-19 at Billiken Sports Center.
