Austin Yeager – have been named to the 2026 National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame's (NFF) Hampshire Honor Society.
This year marks the 20th anniversary of the NFF Hampshire Honor Society, where more than 23,000 college football players from all divisions have been recognized for their academic and athletic achievement.
Dayton is one of only 23 institutions nationwide to have at least one honoree in each of the last 20 years (2007-26). The others are BYU, Brown, Bucknell, Columbia, Dartmouth, Iowa, Johns Hopkins (MD), Kentucky, Lafayette, Minnesota, North Dakota, North Dakota State, Penn State, Redlands (CA), Saint John's (MN), SMU, South Dakota State, Wayne State (MI), West Virginia, Wingate (NC), Yale and Youngstown State.
The Flyers rank fourth all-time among all divisions and ranks third in the FCS with 214 all-time Hampshire Honor Society honorees. Dayton is also the only school from the Pioneer Football League.
The majors of the Flyers recognized this year include Mechanical Engineering, Management, Criminal Justice and Health Science.
Cope and Iams represent Dayton's football team captains.
