WASHINGTON, D.C. – The University of Dayton men's tennis team's Kyle McNally has been named the Atlantic 10's Most Outstanding Player for the second consecutive year, the league office announced Monday.
McNally is joined by Mikkel Zinder on the A-10 First Team All-Conference. Dylan Jaen also earned a spot on the Atlantic 10 All-Academic Team.
McNally has been awarded a major conference award all three years, winning Most Outstanding Player last season and Most Outstanding Rookie in 2024. This season, the Algonquin, Ill. native went 27-4 this season with a dominant 20-1 record in the spring duals season. The junior fell in singles against Kentucky in the opening match of the season but went undefeated the rest of the way, including in the A-10 Championship.
In doubles, McNally went 23-5 with an 18-4 duals record. He was also ranked by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association throughout most of the season with teammate Sturle Skigelstrand, setting a program record ranking 24th in the country.
Zinder is on the All-Atlantic 10 first team for the second consecutive season. The Richboro, Pa. native went 25-5 in singles competition with a 14-2 record in the duals season. He also went 19-8 in doubles this year. In the fall, the junior won the A-10 Masters title in singles and doubles. At ITA Masters, he was the Backdraw Co-Champion.
Jaen made the A-10 All-Academic team, which is voted on by the athletic communications staff members. He has a 3.766 GPA as a Communications major, and picked up 12 singles wins in his first season with the Flyers. The Hilton Head, S.C. native went 21-8 in doubles, going 16-5 with Zinder and winning the A-10 Masters title in doubles.
