DAYTON – The University of Dayton volleyball team will play two exhibition matches as part of the 2026 preseason.

Dayton will see its first action of the season with a road exhibition against No. 3 Kentucky on Aug. 14 at 6:30 p.m. The Wildcats made the national championship match last year and returned most of last season's roster. Friday's exhibition will be a minimum of four sets.

On Aug. 21, the Flyers will return to the Frericks Center for an intersquad scrimmage. The team will be split into red and blue teams and face off. The match will be open to the public and will be a minimum of four sets of action.

UD received votes in the American Volleyball Coaches Association Top 25 Preseason Poll, which was announced on Monday. Atlantic 10 Player of the Year and all-American Kamryn Hunt returns to lead this season's squad, along with A10 All-Rookie team members Corrie Anderson and Abigail Cresse. Nine newcomers joined the team for 2026, with five transfers and four freshmen.

The Flyers will kick off the regular season with the Flyer Invitational, hosting Eastern Illinois, RV Marquette and Santa Clara on Aug. 28-29. Dayton's first match will be against Marquette on Aug. 28 at 7 p.m.
