WASHINGTON, D.C. – University of Dayton volleyball's Sidney Sprada picked up the first conference honors of the season, earning Rookie of the Week.

The outside hitter/defensive specialist made an immediate impact in her first weekend with the Flyers, contributing to UD's 3-0 start.

Sprada tallied 41 kills in the Flyer Invitational, including 18 in the season-opening win over Marquette. She was also a threat at the service line with a team-leading six aces.

Defensively, the Brookville, Ohio native recorded 27 digs, one solo block and three block assists.
