In 2017: In 2018: Blevins had 60 or more appearances for the third straight season, getting the call from the bullpen 63 times and also making his first-career start in 2018. The left-handed specialist struck out 41 batters in 42.2 innings en route to a 3-2 record on the mound.
While at UD: Blevins walked on to the Dayton baseball team in 2002 and saw just 17.1 innings of spot relief work during his first two seasons as a Flyer, but the left-hander earned a spot in the rotation and had a breakout year during his junior season with a 7-3 record and a team-best 3.79 ERA en route to becoming the highest Dayton draft pick in 13 years.
Mike Hauschild, RHP, St. Louis Cardinals Organization

In 2018: Spent the first half of the season pitching for the Fresno
Grizzlies, the AAA-affiliate of the Houston Astros before being picked up by the Toronto Blue Jays, where he made two appearances for the MLB club, including picking up his first career win with an impressive 6.0 innings of scoreless relief against the Seattle Mariners, scattering four hits across the outing, while striking out five batters. He finished the season for the Blue Jays’ AAA affiliate in Buffalo, where he was teammates with top prospect Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Hauschild signed a minor league deal with the St. Louis Cardinals in the offseason.
While at UD: Hauschild enjoyed a four-year stretch of success at Dayton that saw him finish third all-time for wins in program history with 23 and is also the Flyers all-time leader for innings pitched. As the ace of the 2012 Atlantic 10 Conference Championship team, Hauschild also became the first Dayton baseball player to start an NCAA Tournament game, an eventual 4-1 loss to top-seeded Texas A&M.
Craig Stammen, RHP, San Diego Padres

In 2018: Stammed enjoyed one of the best seasons of his career in 2018 with the Padres. Stammen racked up career-high marks in wins (8) as well as appearances (73). The trusted set-up man had an ERA of 2.73 in 79.0 innings pitched, while sporting a K:BB ratio over 5:1. Stammen has posted an ERA under 3.15 in each of the last four seasons he has had at least 50 appearances.
While at UD: Stammen went 9-6 with a team-best 2.80 ERA during a stellar junior season in 2005 and earned Atlantic 10 All Conference honors before being drafted in 12th Round of that summer’s MLB Draft, which was the highest a Flyer had ever been drafted at the time (Cameron Hobson would later be drafted in the 11th round of the 2011 MLB Draft). Stammen’s nine-win campaign that year is tied for second all-time in Flyer history for wins in a single season and he left Dayton as the team’s all-time leader in strikeouts, a title now held by Burny Mitchem.
