Prior to UD
  • Comes to Dayton via Southwest Illinois College, where he hit .351 and led SIC in home runs (15) and RBI (66) during his sophomore season
  • All-Region selection and All-GRAC performer
  • In 2001, Beatty was a D-1 freshman All-American at Southeast Missouri State before transferring to SIC
