Biography

Junior (2024-25)
• Started in 33 of 34 games on the season, averaging 11.6 points and 2.1 assists per game
• Scored a career-best 30 points against Florida Atlantic in the opening round of the National Invitation Tournament, dropping in a career-best eight three-pointers on the night (8-of-12)
• Reached double-digits in the scoring column 20 times on the season, including five straight games to finish the season
• Also averaged 2.7 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.5 steals per contest, and had a 2.0 assist-to-turnover ratio

Sophomore (2023-24)
• Started at Northwestern, with 12 points (3-6 3-pt.) and five assists in 36 minutes
• Scored 16 points vs. LSU, including 8 in 67 seconds during UD’s 19-2 comeback run. Also had three assists
• Made all four of his free throws in the final 28 seconds to preserve the 64-60 win over Massachusetts
• Scored 11 of his 13 points in the second half at La Salle 
• Scored 18 points (5-6 FG, 2-2 3-pt., 6-8 FT) with four assists in the Saint Joseph’s win.  Was the primary defender in holding Erik Reynolds II to six points (11 under his average) with only one three-pointer
• Led the Atlantic 10 in assist-to-turnover ratio (3.3, almost a full assist better than the next player in the rankings)
• Was named the 2024 winner of the Thomas M. Luppe Award which goes to UD’s top newcomer

Freshman (2022-23)
• Northeast Conference Rookie of the Year in 2022-23 
• Merrimack was the NEC regular season and tournament champion
• Averaged 9.6 points, 3.4 assists and 2.9 steals per game as a freshman
• His 99 steals were the most in Division I, and his 2.9 per game were the second-most.  He was also tied for third in assists in the NEC
• Bennett shot .359 (113-315) from the field, .279 (46-165) from 3-point range and .733 (55-75) from the free throw line

High School
• Scored a school-record 2,147 points for Trinity Prep School
• Was a team captain as a junior and senior, and was a four-year varsity player
• Two-time Florida Athletic Coaches Association All-State
