PHILADELPHIA - A pair of University of Dayton student-athletes were honored by the Atlantic 10 Conference as Players of the Week in their respective sports on Monday. Bobby Getty was named A-10 Baseball Player of the Week while Tom Murphy garnered A-10 Men's Tennis Player of the Week honors.

Getty led the Flyer baseball team to a series win over #19/20 Notre Dame with six hits in 13 at bats (.462) in three games played. He scored five runs and walked four times while driving in three. Getty boasts a .512 on base percentage and a .387 batting average this season through the first eight games, which is good for second on the team.

Murphy was undefeated on the week with a pair of victories at second singles and three wins at second doubles. He is 14-5 overall in singles play this season and 14-6 in doubles competition and helped UD to a 2-1 weekend with wins over Binghamton and Youngstown State.

The Dayton baseball team (5-3) returns to action this weekend at the Tennessee Tech Tournament in Cookeville, TN while the men's tennis squad (7-4) travels to Northeast Indiana to take on IPFW (Fri., 6 p.m.) and Ball State (Sat., 11 a.m.).
