Results

MONROEVILLE, PA - The Dayton Flyers women's tennis team concluded its season with a 4-1 loss to eleventh-seeded Fordham on Saturday at the Atlantic 10 Tournament. UD sent three singles matches into a third set, but Fordham recorded the victory in each. The Flyers finished in a tie for eleventh place at the A-10 Tournament in Monroeville, PA with Saint Joseph's.

UD captured the doubles point to take an early lead against Fordham. Sophomores Nikki Dzubay and Mackenzie Hoops paired up to tally an 8-2 win at #2 doubles, while junior Megan Gray and freshman Maggie Ernst won 8-5 in the #3 slot.

In singles, freshman Erin Wilkie was tied 2-6, 7-5, 9-9 when the Rams clinched the contest. Dzubay and Gray were also battling in the third set when the match was called.

The Flyers will graduate two seniors from this season's roster. Kate Mellion had a solid senior campaign by anchoring the line-up at #1 singles and doubles. Kara Metzger missed all action in her final year due to an injury.
