The University of Dayton men's and women's basketball teams will take a timeout from preparing for next week's semester exams to play in a wheelchair basketball game Saturday evening at the Frericks Center on campus. Proceeds from the event will benefit Best Buddies, a charity dedicated to enhancing the lives of people with intellectual disabilities.
The doubleheader tips off at 5:30 p.m. EDT. The Flyers will take on the Moraine Minutemen wheelchair basketball team. Admission is $5.00 to the general public, and $3.00 for students. Free pizza and soft drinks will be available for everyone in attendance. In addition, anyone at the game will be automatically entered in halftime drawings that could win them free giveaways, gift certificates and a $50 grand prize.
The UD basketball teams will be available to sign autographs following the games.
