The University of Dayton is teaming up once again with Adventures for Wish Kids to raise money for the organization by hosting the 2007 AFWK Shot-a-Thon.

Participants who collect donations are invited to UD Arena on Sunday, October 14 between 1-7 p.m. ET to shoot free throws for 10 minutes with a chance to win great prizes of up to a $400 value.

  Last year UD and Adventures for Wish Kids raised more than $6,500.

  Shooters who collect a minimum of $25 in donations receive a free Shot-a-Thon t-shirt. Challenge your friends, family, co-workers and other teams (5 shooters) and see who has the best stuff. Prizes will be given out for most money collected as well as individual and team prizes for highest score by age group. The grand prize is two season tickets to UD Men's basketball, a $400 value.

  Adventures for Wish Kids is a 501(C) (3) not-for-profit organization that works with children with life threatening illnesses and their families. In the greater Dayton area alone, there are currently close to 350 children supported by AFWK. Adventures provides are opportunities for children with life threatening illnesses and their families to make magical memories together with their special friends in fun-filled kid places.
